How to Set Up Signup Bonuses for Affiliates

Reward affiliates with a one-time bonus for recruiting a new affiliate, or when that sub-affiliate generates a specific number of approved conversions.

Signup Bonuses let you reward a parent affiliate with a one-time bonus, either when they recruit a new sub-affiliate or once that sub-affiliate reaches a set number of approved conversions.

This article assumes you're already familiar with parent/child affiliate relationships. If not, start with How Do I Manage Multi-Level Affiliate Commissions? before continuing.

Note: Multi-Level Affiliate Management (MLM) features are only available on select plans. Contact us to learn more.

The two types of Signup Bonuses

  • On approval: the parent earns a bonus the moment their new sub-affiliate's account is approved. This rewards recruitment itself.

  • On conversion threshold: the parent earns a bonus once their sub-affiliate reaches a specific number of approved conversions. You can configure more than one threshold on the same offer (for example, a bonus at 5 approved conversions and another at 10).

Setting up a Signup Bonus

Signup Bonuses are configured per offer, from the Signup Bonuses tab on the offer's edit page:

  1. Open the offer you want to configure and go to the Signup Bonuses tab.

  2. Choose whether this bonus fires on approval or at a conversion threshold. For a threshold bonus, enter the number of approved conversions required.

  3. Enter the bonus commission amount and currency.

  4. Decide whether the sub-affiliate must belong to the same offer as the parent for the bonus to apply.

  5. Save. You can view or delete existing Signup Bonus records from the same tab at any time.
